Oh was a year 2008 has been!! Best one yet. We celebrated with a nice evening in. Addie had another ear infection and wasn't feeling to well, so she only stayed up till 8:00. After she went to bed, we just hung out at home and had a nice evening. We made it till midnight, but not much past.
Family photo ... my foot represents me another family photo Addie just before going to bed.
We thought it would be fun for Addie to spend her first Christmas with all of her Grandparents, so Drew, Addie and I, along with my parents, went to Nashville for a week. We had such a great time. Since my parents had never been before, we had to show them some of the sights. We went to the Opryland Hotel, Grand Ole Opry at the Ryman, and lots of driving around tours. The weather was a good range; from freezing, to rainy and windy, to sunny and warmer. Thanks to everyone for putting us up for the week and making us feel so welcome!!
I always like to get a holiday onesie for Addie to wear to school. All the teachers and student helpers love her festive outfits. My mom and I went to Macy's last weekend and they had a HUGE sale. Needless to say ... we bought Addie one for every day this week. I am sure the teachers will think I am crazy after this week, but oh well! Addie will look festive and cute. Here is day 1.
Sarah, Cheryl and I met at the mall so the kids could take pictures with Santa. They all had a bit of a frown at one point or another, but they did surprisingly well! We got quite a few good shots. None of them are smiling, but at least they stayed still. Madi did stare at Santa quite a bit. They were all very cute.
I think most of you know how much I love taking Addie to Disneyland. This time we went with Cousins Kami and Derek, Aunt Jen and Mummu and Grandad. It was such a fun day!! Barely any lines. And Addie actually went on some rides and stayed awake this time. I think she loved it! Either way she is going back though. :)
In a failed effort to be creative, I took pictures at home for our Christmas card. The white sheet didn't work so well, and wasn't big enough, but I did get a great surfin baby shot. Ha ha!
We had a wonderful LONG weekend. We went up to LA and stayed with both Mel's parents and sister. Jen and Keith had everyone over for Thanksgiving dinner. There was so much tasty food, which I am sure I ate too much of. Here are pics from the weekend.
We started with a sleep over at Mummu and Grandad's house on Wednesday night. Here are the kids in their jammers Thursday morning.
We were 3 deep in the car on the way to Jen's. Addie in the middle.
Addie eating her first Thanksgiving dinner. Too bad she didn't seem to like it!
Cousin Kylie with Addie and Drew.
She was so tired she fell asleep with Grandad on the couch. Think the kids wore out Grandad too!
